High level of interest in Heggedal
“The place was packed during the first viewing and everyone was very positive,” says Kristin Nyquist.
She is one of the sales managers for Heggedal Hage, which is the name of the new housing project that Thon has now launched. Kristin believes that the high level of interest is due to an unmet need in the housing market.
We know there is considerable demand for apartments in and around Oslo right now, since so little has been built in recent years."
Close to Oslo, but at a more affordable price
Heggedal Hage is scheduled for completion in 2027. The apartments have one to three bedrooms and vary in size from 32 to 107 m2. Sales of the first 60 apartments will start on 17 September.
“The prices in Heggedal are more affordable than for a new apartment in Oslo, but it’s still easy to get to the city centre by train,” Kristin continues.
Heggedal is only nine minutes by train to Asker. From here, there are good connections to Oslo and Drammen, as well as Oslo Airport Gardermoen via Flytoget.
Billions invested in Heggedal by municipality
“Heggedal is the perfect example of a highly successful development of an urban centre,” says Tor Arne Midtbø, Municipal Planning Manager in Asker Municipality.
Tor Arne explains that around NOK 2.5 billion have been invested in the urban area and that this has resulted in a vibrant centre with a lot of character and activities. Investments include a new railway station, new schools and kindergartens, new roads and a water and sewage system.
"Heggedal has become a large suburb of Oslo that is close to almost everything. It’s a great place to raise a family, with a wide variety of services and activities for families with children," says Tor Arne.
Roof terraces, common areas and green surroundings
Heggedal is a former industrial stronghold. The new apartments are housed in four buildings with brick and wood facades. These materials reflect Heggedal’s industrial past.
“We want to incorporate some of Heggedal’s history into the housing developing project by using warm tones that echo the colours of the buildings that were previously on the site,” explains Kristin.
The apartments feature modern solutions, with a lot of beige and light colours in the interior. Not only will all apartments have a private balcony or patio, but each building will have a large shared roof terrace.
If you need more space for parties or events, you can use the common building, which has a kitchen, bathroom and common area.
The outdoor area will have a garden feel with walkways and there will be meeting places for both interacting with other residents and playing between the buildings. Heggedal Hage will be a warm and inclusive place to live," concludes Kristin.
