The group in brief 

The Olav Thon Group was founded by Olav Thon and is today owned by the Olav Thon Foundation. The group consists of Thon Holding AS and the listed company Olav Thon Eiendomsselskap ASA.

The group is mainly engaged in the real estate and hotel business, and owns and manages over 80 shopping centres in Norway and Sweden, and around 90 hotels in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Belgium and the Netherlands.

The head office is located at Stenersgata 2 in the centre of Oslo, close to several of our properties, including the shopping centres Arkaden and Gunerius and the hotels Thon Hotel Terminus and Thon Hotel Spectrum. In 2022, we had operating revenues of NOK 12,184 million.

Thon Eiendom, Thon Hotels and Resthon

Thon Eiendom is a market leader in real estate and leases out premises for offices, shops, catering, warehouses and logistics. The division is also active in the rental and sale of homes and holiday apartments, as well as extensive development of homes.

Thon Hotels is one of Norway’s leading hotel chains with hotels throughout the country, in addition to Sweden, Denmark, Belgium and the Netherlands. The chain also has several partner hotels that are operated by skilled external partners.

Under the name Resthon, we own and operate a number of restaurants and bars in Oslo, Lørenskog and Ålesund.

  • Subsidiaries

    Although the Olav Thon Group’s main activity is in real estate, we also have a number of other businesses in our portfolio. Under the Olav Thon Group you will find the parking operator Time Park, the district heating company Follo Fjernvarme, Unger Fabrikker and our wholly owned subsidiary Conrad Langaard AS. We also own 60% of Norsk Pantelotteri AS.
