Deciding where to live is an important choice, whether you’re renting or buying. In the Olav Thon Group’s real estate division - Thon Eiendom - we work to make the choice as simple and safe as possible.

When we build new homes and leisure properties, we take care of the entire process ourselves, from drawings to ready-to-move-in units. In this way, we ensure that the residential properties achieve the high quality we wish for everyone who buys or rents from us.

Residential properties in large parts of the country

We rent out small and large apartments in several of Oslo’s most central areas, as well as elsewhere in the country, and sell brand new homes on the outskirts of the capital and surrounding areas.

Housing and urban development

We also have exciting urban development projects under construction in Strømmen and Lørenskog. Here you will find a varied selection of residential properties, commercial premises and green spaces. In 2024, two attractive housing projects in Moss and Heggedal will also be available for sale.

Contributing to more sustainable homes and communities

When it comes to property, there are two factors that play a role in how sustainable the building is: How it is built and how it is operated.

We can't make home buyers to live environmentally friendly, but we can build energy-efficiently and make sure that those who move in live as sustainably as possible.

Neighbourhoods with social meeting points

The sharing culture also creates needs in the housing market. More and more people want shared benefits in connection with their own apartment. That’s why we invest in social communal areas in the housing projects we develop.

A good example of this strategy can be found in Lørenskog, where we are in the process of building Skårerløkka. As a resident, you have access to a large multi-purpose room, a guest apartment, bicycle workshop and a 400-square-metre roof terrace with outdoor kitchen and vegetable garden.

Minimising emissions at our construction sites

In our sustainability strategy, we emphasise ways to minimise emissions at our construction sites.

By 2030, all construction sites must be emission-free, all new buildings must be energy labelled A and certified to the BREEAM rating "Very Good" or equivalent. In addition, all renovations must be carried out in accordance with EU regulations.
