When it comes to property, there are two factors that play a role in how sustainable the building is: How it is built and how it is operated.

We can't make home buyers to live environmentally friendly, but we can build energy-efficiently and make sure that those who move in live as sustainably as possible.

Neighbourhoods with social meeting points

The sharing culture also creates needs in the housing market. More and more people want shared benefits in connection with their own apartment. That’s why we invest in social communal areas in the housing projects we develop.

A good example of this strategy can be found in Lørenskog, where we are in the process of building Skårerløkka. As a resident, you have access to a large multi-purpose room, a guest apartment, bicycle workshop and a 400-square-metre roof terrace with outdoor kitchen and vegetable garden.

Minimising emissions at our construction sites

In our sustainability strategy, we emphasise ways to minimise emissions at our construction sites.

By 2030, all construction sites must be emission-free, all new buildings must be energy labelled A and certified to the BREEAM rating "Very Good" or equivalent. In addition, all renovations must be carried out in accordance with EU regulations.

Since 2019, we have been proud members of the Norwegian Green Building Council, which is a leader in energy consulting in the building and real estate sector. Through the organisation, we share experiences and get advice and inspiration on how we can help create a greener industry.
