Move to Moss - a modern coastal city

Historic and urban - and the perfect size! In Moss, you live close to the woods and a lake, yet still get to enjoy the conveniences and perks of city living.

Live in a modern city centre under continuous development

Moss has evolved from a historic industrial site to an urban and vibrant city that continues to evolve.

Locals love the close proximity to nature, peaceful atmosphere and beaches and boating along the Oslofjord. It’s also only 30 minutes from the capital, which makes Moss a great place to live for commuters.

Exciting development: New homes and upgraded shopping centre

New life has been breathed into former industrial areas, more homes have been built and commercial activity has picked up.

In 2019, the Moss city centre was named “City Centre of the Year”, largely thanks to the municipality’s strategic investment in a more modern centre.

With new homes at Dronningkvartalet and an extensive upgrade of the shopping centre AMFI Moss, Thon is proud to contribute to urban development in the centre of Moss.

AMFI Moss to become the country’s most modern shopping centre

With many years of experience as a commercial leader in the city, we look forward to creating great housing and possibilities for everyone living in Moss.

When the new AMFI Moss is completed, it will be one of the country’s most modern shopping centres and an attractive destination for the entire region.

A planned new double track means more frequent train departures

Another key aspect of urban development is the renovation of the Moss railway station. This includes a new double track, which will increase capacity and allow for up to eight train departures to Oslo every hour.

In other words, as a new resident of Moss, you get to live in an exciting city undergoing development that is close to the capital.
