New apartments for sale in central Lørenskog
Everything is in place for this former farming municipality to take off: Lørenskog is on its way to becoming a modern, vibrant community with urban qualities. Especially in the Skårer area, urban development is now taking place at full speed.
Skårerløkka is centrally located in what will be the new Lørenskog urban centre, an area characterised by open parks, several restaurants and exciting architecture.
A total of 400 apartments will be built here, wall-to-wall with the Triaden shopping mall, which has recently undergone major expansion. The extensive project fits well with the Thon Group’s investments in the area.
Parallel expansion of Triaden and housing
With the ambitious project at Skårerløkka, the Thon Group wants to give Lørenskog something that many residential areas outside the city lack: Experiences, leisure activities and social meeting points. A centre.
The Triaden shopping mall, the heart of the new Lørenskog urban centre, is central to the new residential development. The mall has been upgraded and expanded, including 5,000 square metres for cafés and restaurants.

Christian Helling-Haugsnes, Development Manager at the Thon Group, says that building a centre from scratch has made it possible to think in new ways.
"At Skårerløkka, we have thought in new ways. Since Triaden will be such a central part of the new Lørenskog urban centre, it has been important to us that it is integrated as well as possible - and brings life to the rest of the urban area."
"How will you manage this?"
"We have opened up the facade and turned the mall outwards so that the entrances are from the pedestrian street. There will be fully-fledged restaurants that may be available beyond the mall's opening hours - even on Sundays. As a green bridge between the mall and the homes, a beautiful park of around 8,000 m² will also be established, connecting all the elements together."
Helling-Haugsnes is pleased that the area is finally being developed, and says that residents of Lørenskog have long missed a gathering point.
"Here, you get a relaxed lifestyle - with urban qualities for free. Everything you need will be right next door."
Homes close to Oslo - but at a lower price level
The Thon Group is behind several major development projects in the new Lørenskog urban centre. Back in 2009, 300 apartments were built at Skårer Vest - the same area in which Skårerløkka is now being built.
“We know the area well and are now pleased to soon be able to offer the residents in the area a beautiful park with social meeting places that many of our buyers have been looking forward to,” says Stig Christiansen, Development Director at the Thon Group.
He says that the price level is very attractive compared to Oslo city centre, which is just under 20 minutes away.
"Here, you also get a lot more for your money. For couples in the establishment phase, Skårerløkka will probably be very interesting. It is centrally located, ten minutes away from the countryside and offers a wide range of activities. Everything is in place for a good place to raise a family," he says.
