Location
Lørenskog Municipality is located in Akershus and borders Oslo in the west, Lillestrøm in the north, Rælingen in the east and Enebakk in the south. Parts of Lørenskog’s densely populated areas are considered part of the Oslo urban area.

You will find, among other things, a library, GP and emergency service, nursing home, health centre, gym, hairdressers, pharmacies, physiotherapy and occupational therapy and the Triaden shopping mall in Lørenskog, as well as several grocery stores and petrol stations.
Kindergartens and schools
As of 2024, Lørenskog Municipality has eight municipal primary schools and four secondary schools, besides three private schools and two upper secondary schools.
The municipality also has a total of 44 kindergartens, as municipal, state, private and family kindergartens. The closest school and kindergarten to Skårerløkka PREMIUM are Benterud School and Benterud Kindergarten.
Public transport
Lørenskog has a good public transport service, which makes it easy to commute to the capital. There is a bus every ten minutes from Triaden and Lørenskog centre to Oslo Bus Terminal, which takes about 20-30 minutes. A new, expanded metro line from Ellingsrudåsen in Oslo to Lørenskog is also planned.
Otherwise, Lørenskog station has a train line to Oslo, Lillestrøm, Asker and Drammen. The local train takes 18 minutes to Oslo Central Station and 11 minutes to Lillestrøm station. From Lillestrøm it is 12 minutes to Oslo Airport.
New Lørenskog urban centre
Thon is undertaking a major expansion project in Lørenskog’s new urban centre, with the aim of creating a social meeting place for people in the municipality.
In Skårerløkka, around 400 new homes will be built, alongside a multi-purpose hall, park, cafés, restaurants, shops and offices. In addition, the Triaden shopping mall has been expanded and renewed, including 40 new stores and a large trampoline and activity centre.
Social meeting places and large green areas
When everything is completed in 2026, Skårerløkka will be an area with urban qualities and exciting architecture. The focus here is on creating large green areas, fine walkways, spacious squares and social meeting places, including a new park area between the new homes in Skårerløkka and Triaden.
Together with cafés, restaurants and shops, the development contributes to a good atmosphere and a vibrant local environment for everyone living in the municipality.

Culture enthusiasts can visit Lørenskog hus, the municipality’s cultural meeting place, with concerts, theatre, dance and art exhibitions on the bill. There is also a cinema and library. -

Good skiing conditions all year round at SNØ
Outdoor sports enthusiasts will appreciate the proximity to the fantastic Østmarka, which offers miles of ski slopes in winter. But in Lørenskog, you can actually go skiing all year round! The SNØ complex, which is referred to as the world’s wildest indoor all-season arena for winter experiences, is located in the municipality, wall-to-wall with Thon Hotel Snø. -
Close to great nature experiences
You will also find one of Norway's best golf complexes in Lørenskog, more specifically at Losby Gods. In this area you can also meet the animals at Losby besøksgård (visitors centre), go for a ride, or rent a canoe and explore Losbymarka’s many beautiful lakes.
