1. Our responsibility for your privacy
This privacy policy applies to everyone who uses services provided by Time Park AS and Time Park Service AS. The companies are collectively referred to as "Time Park". When we refer to 'we, our, us' in this privacy policy, we mean Time Park.
You can be sure that we only collect and store your personal data in a lawful and secure manner.
2. Data controller
We are owned by the Thon Group AS (hereinafter: 'the Thon Group', 'TG'), which is the data controller for your personal data. It is the Thon Group that decides why and how the processing of personal data at Time Park takes place.
3. What kind of information do we collect and why?
3.1 In response to enquiries:
If you contact us via a form on our website, we process the data you provide in order to respond to your enquiry. This may include, for example, your name, address, email address, phone number, licence plate number, date of birth, invoice number and parking fine number.
3.2 Your profile on our website and app:
If you use our website/app for payment for our services, a profile must be created. For this purpose, we collect your full name, email address, phone number, licence plate number and card number.
3.3 In relation to parking fines:
We take photographs of the vehicle for documentation, register the time of parking and licence plate number (front and back).
This information may also be used for searches in our system. We will then receive information such as your name, address, phone number and email address in order to send you a reminder if the parking fine has not been paid by the due date.
3.4 Payment for charging an electric vehicle:
3.4.1 When charging where we have automatic licence plate registration ('LPR'), we register the time of charging and the licence plate number (front and back) when entering and exiting the area. We also collect information about RFID tag (charging tag) and payment information. In the event of non-payment for charging, we can use the licence plate number to look up information in our system to send you a reminder if electric car charging has not been paid by the due date.
3.4.2 When charging in regular zones, we collect payment information, the licence plate number and contact information when paying via the app or at the payment terminal.
3.5 Towing:
We take photographs of the vehicle for documentation, register the parking time and licence plate number.
Parking in zones (manual check by parking attendants)
3.6 Payment terminal:
At our zone facilities, we collect vehicle licence plate numbers and card information (masked) if you pay in advance for parking/services at the payment terminal.
3.7 App payment:
It is possible to pay for our parking/services through various parking apps. These apps require a profile in order to use their services and their own terms of use apply.
3.8 Parking monitoring:
If you have not paid for parking, we will charge you a fee for non-payment. If you have not registered your parking time in an app, have a parking ticket visible in the windscreen or register your vehicle at a payment terminal, the parking attendant will register the parking time and take a photograph of the vehicle.
3.9 LPR (area with licence plate cameras)
In all our LPR areas, licence plate numbers are only photographed when entering and exiting. Photographs are taken of the front and back of the vehicle to register the parking start and end times. The camera images we receive from the camera system will censor any people in the image.
3.10 Payment terminal:
You can pay for your parking/services at a payment terminal before leaving the area. In this case, we collect the licence plate number of the vehicle and card information (masked).
3.11 App payment:
When entering the car park, a photograph of the vehicle will be taken to read and register the licence plate number to start calculating the parking time. The camera system will then send this information to various parking apps. If the licence plate number is registered in one of your parking apps, you will be given the option to start your parking time. On exiting, a new photograph is taken to register the end of parking and calculate the parking fee/use of services, which can be paid in the same app.
3.12 Parking monitoring:
A parking attendant checks that cars are parked in accordance with the parking regulations. For example, whether there is a visible and/or valid disabled parking permit in the windscreen in spaces reserved for people with disabilities or if any cars are not parked within the lines. In the event of a violation, we register the time of parking and take photographs of the vehicle, as well as the licence plate number.

Otherwise, we share your personal data with our data processors in order to provide you with our services. We enter into data processing agreements with our suppliers and require them to provide guarantees that they process your personal data safely and securely and only for our purposes.
In some cases, personal data may be shared with public authorities, such as the police, emergency services or regulators, if this is necessary to safeguard life and health or if we are legally obliged to disclose information, for example in connection with an investigation or other legal requirements.
8. Where is your personal data stored?
The personal data that we process is generally stored on servers in the EU/EEA.
For some services, personal data may be processed by subcontractors that use service providers in countries outside the EU/EEA. Any transfers to third countries only take place if there are valid grounds for the transfer, for example if the country is covered by an EU Commission decision on adequate protection (such as Israel) or if other legal mechanisms are used that ensure an equivalent level of protection, such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, Standard Data Protection Clauses (SCCs) or supplementary measures where necessary.
