The centre’s primary market consists of residents of Ulstein, Hareid, Herøy, Sande and Vanylven (with a combined population of around 28,000), but there are also numerous visitors in the secondary markets of Ørsta and Volda (with a total population of around 20,000).

The Lagunen Storsenter opened the doors to a new destination on 14 November 2018. The first construction phase offers more space for retail, food service, common areas, parking and outdoor areas.
The development project is called 'Moa 2020' and consists of five construction phases. On completion, the AMFI Moa will be one of the largest shopping centres in the country.
