Senior HR Adviser at the Olav Thon Group
Britt Vidung first joined the Olav Thon Group as restaurant manager in 2002, and was then HR/Personnel Manager at Thon Hotel Arena in Lillestrøm for ten years. She came from Nordic Choice Hotels and has also worked at Umoe Restaurants as HR Manager.
Britt is a professionally qualified chef and waitress. In addition, she has a degree from the Norwegian School of Hotel Management in Stavanger and studied employment law at Buskerud and Vestfold University College. In 2019, she returned to the Olav Thon Group, as a senior HR adviser at the head office.
In her role as HR adviser, her responsibilities include providing guidance and advice to the Group's employees and managers, support within Simployer, personnel matters and sick leave follow-up, and following up on Thon’s cooperation with NAV (Norwegian Labour and Welfare Administration) and on inclusion.
The work is mainly related to employment law issues.
What I like best about my job: That the Group is so large that I get to know several different specialist areas within hotels, shopping centres, parking, property and much more. I can develop relationships based on good dialogue and communication, and find good solutions for employees and managers.
