A “new” Vestby centre
More and more people are finding their way to Vestby, and the municipality is flourishing in step with the population growth.
After a new town centre plan was adopted in 2016, active work has been done to create a more vibrant centre in Vestby.
New homes and flourishing business community
New homes and a new cultural centre have been added. A requirement from the municipality that all new buildings in the town centre should leave room for commercial premises provides space for more shops, cafés and restaurants - to the delight of both new and old Vestby residents.
With the new Follobanen railway in place, it takes no more than 24 minutes by train to Oslo, which gives even greater proximity to the capital and the pleasures of city life.
In other words, Vestby is just rural enough for those who want to find peace and quiet, but also close enough to the city for commuters and lovers of urban life.
