Just over 30 minutes from the capital, with the Oslofjord as its closest neighbour, you'll find the picturesque coastal city of Drøbak.

About Drøbak

Location

Drøbak is located on the Oslofjord, roughly halfway between Oslo and Moss.  

This former market town acquired city status in 2006 and is the administrative centre of Frogn Municipality in Akershus County.

Services

In Drøbak, you'll find doctor’s offices, a health centre, shopping centre, swimming pool, gym, physical therapy clinic, dentists, library and hairdressers in Drøbak, as well as a petrol station and several grocery stores.

Kindergartens and schools

The municipality has four primary schools, a lower secondary school and a school that runs from grades 1-10, as well as a Montessori School and upper secondary school. There are also several kindergartens in the municipality, several of which are located in the centre of Drøbak.

Public transportation

Drøbak has good public transportation with both buses and boats/ferries.

The bus to the Oslo city centre takes around 45 minutes, with departures every 30 minutes. There are also good bus connections to Ski and Ås and night buses on weekends.

During the summer months, there are daily boats to Aker Brygge in the Oslo city centre and on weekends during spring and autumn. There is also a daily ferry to Oscarsborg from Drøbak.
