The centre aims to be the preferred shopping destination for residents of southern Trondheim and nearby municipalities in the home and leisure category, and has around 500 parking spaces. Tiller Torget is owned by Storebrand and managed by the Thon Group.

The primary target group is men and women aged 30-60 years in municipalities south of Trondheim, as well as young people from nearby schools and the neighbouring communities of Heimdal and Tiller. The primary market area is the municipality of Trondheim. The secondary target group is men and women aged 30-60 years in the secondary market area of Melhus, Skaun, Midtre Gauldal.
