The centre’s primary market is the municipality of Sandnes. with a population of 89,000. When it comes to dining and experiences such as a food court, cinema, hotel and nightclub, the primary market comprises Stavanger, Sola, Gjesdal, Hå, Time and Klepp, with a total population of around 325,000.

The Thon Senter Sandnes extends through the city centre of Sandnes, with the bus terminal and railway station as its closest neighbours. The centre is enclosed by the harbour and Ruten park, which has both a playground and skate park. One of the centre's closest neighbours is an upper secondary school and the adjacent urban areas are experiencing significant growth. Many of the city's events, both large and small, take place just outside the doors of the centre, which also benefits the centre itself.

During the Shopping Centre Conference, Sartor Storsenter and Ski Storsenter were rewarded for their excellent efforts. Several other centres in the group were also nominated for awards.
In 2022, Thon Group shopping centres recorded turnover in the amount of around NOK 75 billion. This corresponds to an increase of around 3.3% in relation to 2021. Compared to the last normal year (2019), turnover increased by 14.9%.
