Thon Center Orkanger opened its doors in 1971 and has been an important shopping destination in Orkanger ever since. Close to the bus station and with plenty of parking, it’s easy to get to the centre by public transport and car. The central location also facilitates easy access for pedestrians. The centre is owned by the Thon Group and Coop Nordvest.

Shoppers from Orkland and Skaun are Thon Center Orkanger’s primary market, with a total population of around 26,000. A large percentage of these are adults with strong purchasing power. The centre also attracts visitors from the secondary markets of Melhus, Heim, Rindal, Ørland, Hitra, Rennebu, Aure, Surnadal and Frøya.
