Geilo is located close to national road 7, between Oslo and Bergen and Thon Center Geilo is centrally located in the town. The centre consists of two buildings, with entrances from both the national road and pedestrian street in the town centre. The centre has both indoor and outdoor parking and there are charging stations on the other side of the road.
Market and customer base
Geilo is a tourist destination with hotels, bed and breakfasts and lots of cabins. The town is home to a popular ski resort, but there is also plenty of activity here in the summer. A large part of the customer base consists of cabin residents and other visitors. The primary market is the municipality of Hol, with a population of 4,500, of which 2,500 live in Geilo. The secondary market comprises Ål, Nore, Uvdal and Eidfjord.

In addition to grocery shops, Thon Center Geilo also has sports, home goods and discount shops. The centre has both food service establishments and health and wellness businesses.
The Thon Center Geilo is highly compact, so all shops are within walking distance. Lots of large-scale events are organised throughout the year in the city centre, such as the Norsk Matglede and Helt På Vidda festivals and the Skarverennet cross-country skiing race.
