Thon Center Elverum underwent an extensive expansion and upgrade in 2013 and is now iconsidered the region’s most attractive shopping destination. The area is zoned for an additional 15,000 square metres of retail, business and parking. The centre is owned by AmCo Eiendom AS.
Market and customer base
Thon Center Elverum is highly family-oriented. The primary market comprises Elverum, Løten, Trysil, Våler, Åmot, Åsnes, Engerdal and Rendalen, Stor-Elvdal and cabins in the area, while the secondary market is residents of Hamar and Stange.
Retail mix
In addition to nearly 40 shops in various sectors, Thon Center Elverum also houses eateries, an accounting firm, auto repair shop and health centre with doctors, physical therapists and a dentist.
Planned expansion
Elverum is a municipality undergoing continuous development, with both new commercial establishments and the establishment of new homes and residential areas. The new YDALIR residential area, which is zoned for 800-1,000 new housing units, is located around a kilometre from the centre.
The Thon Center Elverum is located in the heart of the city, is easily accessible and has plenty of parking. All city bus lines stop at the city square where the centre is situated. The population of the municipality is just over 21,000. There are also 10,500 holiday cabins in the area.

The Lagunen Storsenter opened the doors to a new destination on 14 November 2018. The first construction phase offers more space for retail, food service, common areas, parking and outdoor areas.
The development project is called 'Moa 2020' and consists of five construction phases. On completion, the AMFI Moa will be one of the largest shopping centres in the country.
