Thon Center Alta is located in the heart of the city, with direct access to both the Nordlysbadet indoor swimming pool and Thon Hotel Alta, which makes it easy to access for both Alta residents and visitors. The centre was expanded in 2009, houses around 70 tenants and has a varied mix of shops. Thon Center Altahas a strong focus on families with children and has, among other things, created a separate play area for the youngest visitors.
Thon Center Alta was presented with the 'Shopping Centre of the Year' award in 2011 and was named 'Operations Team of the Year' by the NCSC in 2015.

Located in the heart of the city, the Thon Center Alta is a natural gathering place for local residents. The centre has a direct connection to the Nordlysbadet indoor water park and Thon Hotel Alta via a heated underground parking garage. The Cathedral of The Northern Lights is also located only a few metres away. The Thon Center Alta is easy to reach by both bus and car and the centre has a large parking lot.

During the Shopping Centre Conference, Sartor Storsenter and Ski Storsenter were rewarded for their excellent efforts. Several other centres in the group were also nominated for awards.
In 2022, Thon Group shopping centres recorded turnover in the amount of around NOK 75 billion. This corresponds to an increase of around 3.3% in relation to 2021. Compared to the last normal year (2019), turnover increased by 14.9%.
