The AMFI Vågen extends through the city centre of Sandnes, with the bus terminal and railway station as its closest neighbours. The centre is enclosed by the harbour and Ruten park, which has both a playground and skate park. One of the centre's closest neighbours is an upper secondary school and the adjacent urban areas are experiencing significant growth.
