Ole Sørlie
Head of Operations at Ski Storsenter
Ole Sørlie is a qualified electrician and started his career at the Olav Thon Group in 1993 as a caretaker with operational responsibility at Gunerius in Oslo. Since then, he has among other things worked as operations manager at Thon Vaktmesterservice and as operations manager at the Diakonhjemmet property. Today, he is Head of Operations at Ski Storsenter.
Ski Storsenter, headed by Ole, has been at the forefront of sustainability work in the Olav Thon Group. In 2022, the centre won the NCSC Sustainability Award for its fine work, and in 2023 it was named “Green Operations Team of the Year” by the Norwegian Green Building Council.
What I like best about my job: That I get to study things I find exciting, and get to test new technology and other sustainable solutions. The result is improved operations at Ski Storsenter in terms of both the environment and energy consumption.
