Operations and Marketing Manager at Einherjar eSport at Kvadrat shopping centre
Hilde Gunn Ørland joined the Olav Thon Group as Operations and Marketing Manager for the Einherjar eSport initiative at the Kvadrat shopping centre in Sandnes in 2021.
Hilde Gunn holds a master’s degree in management from BI (Norwegian Business School) and has extensive experience from building up different sports teams. The Einherjar operation mainly concerns safeguarding the social aspect of the Group’s sustainability strategy, including by building up several non-profit, voluntary departments, both at schools and other shopping centres in the Olav Thon Group. In addition to financial responsibility, Hilde Gunn assures the quality of educational games and recruits volunteers and trainers for the e-sports club.
What I like best about my job: It’s rewarding to work with our younger generation, taking them seriously and learning something new every day. It's inspiring to work so closely with social sustainability, and to work actively to strengthen mental health, and also to get more young people who are neither in work nor education into working life. Creating meeting places for young people is important and the right thing to do, and I know that the work done here means a great deal for an enormous number of people.
