Thon Center Kanebogen is conveniently located along national road 83 on the southern side of Harstad and is easy to reach from the access road to the city. There are plenty of buses from both the south and north that stop just outside the centre entrance. A complete renovation in 2017 gave Thon Center Kanebogen an attractive and modern design, which has helped to increase the centre’s popularity.
Market and customer base
As the largest city in the area, Harstad attracts lots of visitors from neighbouring communities who pass the centre on their way home. Harstad and the surrounding area, with a total population of around 34,500, is the centre’s primary market, while the secondary market comprises Gratangen, Ofoten, Lofoten and Vesterålen, with a combined population of around 76,000.
