Location and accessibility
The Överby Handelsområde is located along national road R44/45 in Trollhättan, north of Gothenburg. The first shops opened their doors in the area in the late 1980s and the area has grown to become one of Sweden's largest commercial districts. Today, the district has everything from large shopping centres and sports shops to furniture stores, car repair shops, eateries, Systembolaget (government-owned chain of liquor stores) and supermarkets.
