Osteria della Nonna is an Italian concept aiming for a true Italian dining experience through pure but delicious flavours. We are looking for a fulltime position as a souschef. 
Osteria della Nonna is a part of Thon Hotel Rosenkrantz that delivers a breakfast and a service level that doesn't go by unnoticed. In the breakfast competition Twinings best breakfast awards we won the best breakfast in Oslo in 2022 and were nominated in the same category for 2023. On Tripadvisor we have for a long time been steady on 2nd place among all the hotels of Oslo, only surpased by Amerikalinjen. 


Thon Hotel Rosenkrantz is a modern business hotel in the heart of Oslo, and since the renovation in 2014 it has been a favourite among national and international guests. Maintaining and developing the brand of Thon Hotel Rosenkrantz is important. With the great product we have and the great colleagues we are, we aim to deliver one of Norways best hospitality experiences for all our guests.
 

Responsibilities/Main tasks:

  • Training of kitchen staff members
  • Prep and production of breakfast, lunch, dinner, and banquets
  • Control over storage, purchasing and stock counts
  • Quality control of production and service
  • Creative development of the menu and the concept together with the head chef
  • IK-mat / food safety
  • Taking care of suppliers and deliveries from suppliers
  • Have a proactive mindset when it comes to food waste
  • Deputy to the head chef
     

To succeed in this postition, it would be positive if you:

  • Have similar work experience
  • Have a certificate of apprenticeship as a chef
  • Speak and write Norwegian or English fluently
  • Have great communication skills
  • Are familiar with IK-mat and how to work with food safety according to the Norwegian standards
  • Understand how a kitchen works from A to Z
  • Have experience with or passion for Italian cousine
  • Can adapt, and find solutions 
  • Can work by yourself and is comfortable in making decissions
  • Are proactive
  • Know how to improve a team and the work environment
